Cello Birthdays – Back Soon!

Change

Stay tuned for more in our Cello Birthdays series, coming soon. Going forward, we are making some changes to the way our birthdays series is presented.

Why We Love the Cello Birthdays

We started the Cello Birthdays not only to celebrate the lives of those associated with the cello, but also to share repertoire and performances that might not otherwise cross your path.

What is Happening at the Moment

Unfortunately, this has turned into a monumental project that seems to be taking over much of our virtual museum “building.” We appreciate your patience while we work on constructing a new, user-friendly “wing” to share this information.

We’re excited that we might be adding a new team member very soon to help with putting these together.

We are Still Gathering Cello Birthday Information

Even though our birthdays are on hold temporarily here, we are still working behind the scenes. We appreciate your sending us cellists, composers, cello makers, cello researchers, etc., whom you feel should be represented in our series.

Your Turn

Know of other cellists, cello makers, composers of music played by cellists, or those with a strong tie to the cello world born on this day? This is a work in progress. We’d love to hear from you if you have suggestions, additions, or corrections. Thank you!

We include those with recordings and/or images available online.
