Julian Schwarz makes his debut with the Mozart Orchestra of New York conducted by his father Gerard Schwarz. The program also includes Ryan Malone on harpsichord and his son Seth Malone on cello. The program includes works by Haydn, Vivaldi, and Mozart.

Online Baroque Cello Bootcamp
1-2 and 4-5 January 11 AM – 6/7 PM EST
2021 New Year’s Resolution Virtual Baroque Cello Bootcamp with Phoebe Carrai
Auditors are still being accepted for the Baroque Cello Bootcamp under the direction of Phoebe Carrai. Auditors attend masterclasses and presentations:
ranging from bow technique and continuo classes to lectures and recitals. This Zoom workshop is a great way to invigorate your resolution to play more early music with a daily schedule of Bow Technique, Masterclasses, Lectures, and Continuo Class, as well as Guest Artist Recitals January 2 and 5. Auditors are encouraged to participate in Bow Technique and can ask questions at any time during sessions. The only technology requirements are a device capable of running Zoom software or the Zoom app.
Robert Mealy – Graces under Pressure: Italian and French ornaments, and how to make things up in Bach
David Watkin – Finding a context for the Bach Cello Suites
Jonathan Manson – Pointers on bowing and shaping in continuo playing
January 2 – Keiran Campbell: music of Bach, Supriani, Colombi, and Vitali
January 5 – Kristin von der Goltz: music of Dall’ abaco
Please note: While the Bootcamp daily schedule is rigorous, auditors are welcome to pop in and out of sessions as needed. All sessions will be recorded and available to auditors and participants for later viewing.
Auditor Prices: $40 per day/$120 Full 2 Sessions
Recital Only Prices: $20 for 2 concerts on January 2 and 5. Proceeds support financial aid recipients.
